Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and rub generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in smoked paprika, thyme, and oregano.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently for 3-4 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens, stirring occasionally.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Let simmer for another 3-5 minutes to absorb flavors.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot over rice, pasta, or vegetables.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for a more vibrant flavor.
- Adjust the spice level by adding red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
- For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt or coconut milk.
- Taste and adjust spices as needed for your preference.
