- 8 oz penne pasta
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, sliced
- 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until sauce thickens.
- Add shredded cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Stir in honey BBQ sauce, cooked chicken, and pasta. Combine well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped herbs if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute grilled chicken with leftover rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- Add cooked bacon for extra flavor.
- Use gluten-free pasta if needed.
