Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef or preferred burger patty mixture
- 4 slices cheddar cheese or cheese of your choice
- 4 burger buns, toasted for extra crunch
- 6 slices crispy bacon, chopped
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, jalapeños
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into four equal-sized patties slightly larger than buns.
- In a skillet over medium heat, fry bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside. In the same skillet, cook sliced onions until caramelized, about 8 minutes.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. During the last minute, place cheese slices on each patty to melt.
- Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on toasted buns. Assemble by placing each cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom bun. Top with crispy bacon, caramelized onions, pickles, and other desired toppings. Cover with the top bun and gently press down.
Notes
- Use high-quality, fresh ingredients for maximum flavor.
- Toast the buns for added crunch and flavor.
- Add cheese during the last minute of cooking for perfect meltage.
- Experiment with different cheeses and toppings to customize your burgers.
