Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mash the bananas thoroughly. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moistness.
- Feel free to substitute honey or maple syrup for sugar for a different flavor profile.
- Storing: Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or keep in an airtight container. Freeze slices for longer storage.
