- 1 large onion, sliced

- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup red wine (optional)

- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Season the brisket with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the brisket until browned on all sides.
- Place sliced onions and garlic in the slow cooker, then add the seared brisket on top.
- Mix beef broth, red wine, and tomato paste; pour over the brisket.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours until tender and juicy.
- Remove the brisket, slice it against the grain, and serve with the cooking juices and fresh herbs.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the brisket overnight with spices and herbs.
- Reduce the cooking liquid to a thicker sauce if desired.
