Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups of flavored gelatin (lime, cherry, or your favorite)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- Eye-shaped candy or edible eyeballs (available at party supply stores)
- Optional: whipped cream for garnish
- Food coloring (green, red, or yellow for extra effect)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flavored gelatin powder with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir well until fully dissolved. Add in the cold water and mix thoroughly. Add food coloring if desired. Pour the mixture into silicone molds or small cups.
- Place the molds or cups in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until the gelatin is completely set.
- Once set, position edible eyeballs or candy eyes on top of each gelatin cube. Add a small drop of red food coloring underneath for bloodshot effect if preferred.
- If desired, prepare a thin layer of colored gelatin (red or green), pour over the eyes, and refrigerate again until set.
Notes
- Store leftover gelatin treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Assemble the eyeballs just before serving to keep the candy or edible eyeballs in place.
- Use food-safe edible eyeballs or candies and handle with clean utensils to ensure safety.
