  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef or sliced beef strips
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional for richer flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (for finishing)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and grated ginger. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef or sliced beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add remaining oil to the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  4. Return cooked beef to the skillet. Pour in the honey garlic sauce. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and coated with sauce.
  5. Finish with a drizzle of sesame oil. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red chili flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
  • Use sliced beef strips instead of ground beef for a more authentic stir-fry texture.
  • Pair with cauliflower rice for a low-carb meal.
