Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp black peppercorns, crushed
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Scallions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Add beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add onions and bell peppers to the wok; stir-fry until slightly tender.
  4. Add garlic and crushed black peppercorns; cook for 1 minute.
  5. Return beef to the wok, add oyster sauce and sugar; stir to combine and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped scallions.
