- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thicker sauce)
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Place chicken in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
- Pour the sauce over chicken in the crockpot.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Optional: Mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the sauce, then cook on high for 10 minutes to thicken.
- Serve chicken garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more honey or brown sugar.
- Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
- Can be made gluten-free by using tamari instead of soy sauce.
