- 12 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 2 minutes until sauce is heated through.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- You can add cooked chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
- Adjust the spice level with red pepper flakes according to your taste.
