Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and apples are bubbly.
- Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- Use tart apples for a balanced sweetness and tang.
- Cover with foil if the topping starts to brown too quickly.
