- 2 cups orzo pasta
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook orzo according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, toss chicken with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add seasoned chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add diced bell peppers and garlic to the skillet, cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
- Add cooked orzo to the skillet, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu for variation.
- Add a pinch of cayenne for extra spiciness.
