  • Total Time: 1 hour 50 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the dough:
    • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
    • ½ cup granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • ¾ cup warm milk
    • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 2 large eggs
  • For the peach filling:
    • 2 cups fresh or canned peaches, diced
    • ¼ cup brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
  • For the glaze:
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2-3 tablespoons milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk to about 110°F, then sprinkle yeast over it and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture to dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the peach filling by mixing diced peaches with brown sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  6. After the dough has risen, punch down and roll into a 16×10 inch rectangle on a floured surface.
  7. Spread the peach filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  8. Roll the dough tightly from the long side, then cut into 12 equal slices. Arrange in a greased baking dish.
  9. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Whisk powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to make the glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use ripe peaches for sweeter filling.
  • You can prepare the rolls in advance and refrigerate overnight before baking.
  • Customizable toppings include chopped nuts or cream cheese frosting.
