Ingredients
- 1 cup natural almond butter or peanut butter
- ½ cup maple syrup or agave nectar
- 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats
- ½ cup dairy-free chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of sea salt
- Optional toppings: shredded coconut, crushed nuts, cacao nibs
Instructions
- Start by combining almond butter and maple syrup in a mixing bowl. Stir well until smooth and creamy. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
- Gradually add gluten-free rolled oats to the wet mixture, stirring to create a cohesive dough. Fold in dairy-free chocolate chips.
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Transfer the dough mixture and press firmly into an even layer using the back of a spatula or your hands.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until the bars are firm and set.
- Once chilled, cut into bars or squares. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for later enjoyment.
Notes
- Feel free to add shredded coconut, crushed nuts, or cacao nibs for extra flavor and texture.
- For a richer taste, use dark chocolate chips or melted vegan chocolate as toppings.
- Make sure to press the mixture firmly to ensure the bars hold together when sliced.
