- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually blend dry ingredients into wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Remove from oven and let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- For softer cookies, bake for 9-10 minutes. For crunchier edges, bake a minute longer.
- You can substitute chocolate chips with nuts or candy pieces.
