- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
- You can substitute dark chocolate chips for semi-sweet for a richer flavor.
- For chewier cookies, slightly underbake them and let cool on the baking sheet.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
