- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup whiskey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- Pour whiskey into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and Dijon mustard. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes until cooked through and sauce thickens.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust whiskey amount for desired flavor intensity.
- You can replace heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
