  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita bread or flatbreads
  • Fresh cucumber, sliced
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Red onions, thinly sliced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

For the Feta Tzatziki

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat the chicken breasts thoroughly with the marinade. Let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown. Rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  3. Combine Greek yogurt, feta, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and refrigerate until serving.
  4. Warm the pita bread slightly. Spread feta tzatziki on each, then add sliced chicken, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, and parsley. Fold and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes for optimal flavor.
  • Reheat cooked chicken before assembling for juiciness.
  • For added flavor, add shredded lettuce or pickled red onions.
