Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Olive oil or cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with Parmesan, panko breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip in eggs, then coat thoroughly with the Parmesan-panko mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until golden on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- While baking, make the garlic sauce: melt butter in a saucepan, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, pour in heavy cream, simmer gently. Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper until thickened.
- Serve the crispy chicken topped with velvety garlic sauce. Garnish with Parmesan and herbs if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor in the garlic sauce.
- Ensure the chicken is pounded to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
- For a healthier option, bake the breaded chicken instead of frying.
- Leftover garlic sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated gently.
