Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large sweet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- Optional: cayenne pepper for extra heat
Instructions
- Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into evenly-sized strips, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, sea salt, and optional cayenne pepper. Toss the sweet potato strips in the mixture until well coated.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Arrange the seasoned sweet potato fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each fry for crispiness.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy. For extra crunch, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Notes
- Ensure uniform size slices for evenly cooked fries.
- For spicier fries, add more cayenne pepper or chili powder.
- Reheat leftovers in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes to regain crispiness.
