Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders or chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Pat the chicken tenders dry and cut larger pieces into strips as needed.
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken strip into flour, coating completely, then into beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with the seasoned panko mixture, pressing lightly for adherence.
- Place the breaded chicken strips onto the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F).
Notes
- Ensure chicken strips are evenly sized for consistent cooking.
- For extra crispiness, lightly spray the tops before baking.
- You can prepare and freeze uncooked strips for convenient future meals.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like honey mustard, ranch, or barbecue.
