Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra melted butter and garlic for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead until dough is smooth and elastic.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  5. Shape each piece into a ball and arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Mix minced garlic and chopped parsley with melted butter. Brush the rolls generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush with additional garlic butter after baking for extra flavor, and serve warm.

  • Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast properly.
  • For a richer flavor, add a little grated Parmesan cheese to the dough.
