- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra melted butter and garlic for brushing
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead until dough is smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball and arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Mix minced garlic and chopped parsley with melted butter. Brush the rolls generously with the garlic butter mixture.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with additional garlic butter after baking for extra flavor, and serve warm.
Notes
- Ensure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast properly.
- For a richer flavor, add a little grated Parmesan cheese to the dough.
- Can be made ahead and reheated for convenience.
