- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and brown chicken on both sides for 3-4 minutes each.
- Place browned chicken into the crock-pot and top with marinara sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until chicken is tender.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and mix well with sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top and cover until cheese melts, about 10 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Serve over spaghetti or your favorite pasta for a complete meal.
