Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Arrange bread cubes in the dish, then layer sliced apples evenly on top.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and apples, pressing down gently to soak everything.
- Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes until golden and set.
- Remove from oven, dust with powdered sugar, and drizzle with caramel sauce if desired. Serve warm.
