- 1 package of store-bought croissants (or homemade if preferred)
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup of whole milk or heavy cream
- ½ cup of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar, whipped cream, fresh berries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- Cut the croissants into bite-sized pieces and evenly layer them in the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate evenly over the croissant layer.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the custard mixture evenly over the layered croissants and chocolate. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes to soak up.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden and puffed.
- Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, then serve warm with optional toppings like powdered sugar, whipped cream, or berries. Drizzle with melted chocolate or caramel for added indulgence.
