Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour blend
- 1/2 cup water or dairy-free milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted coconut oil
- Optional: chopped parsley and blue cheese or ranch dressing for serving
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. The batter should be thick but pourable.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it’s evenly coated, then place on a plate or baking sheet for air frying.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the coated cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Meanwhile, whisk together buffalo hot sauce and olive oil in a small bowl to make the buffalo sauce.
- Once cauliflower is cooked, transfer to a large bowl, pour the buffalo sauce over, and toss gently to coat.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and your preferred dipping sauces.
Notes
- Ensure cauliflower florets are similar in size for even cooking.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to maintain crispiness.
- Adjust spice levels by varying the hot sauce amount.
- For added crunch, sprinkle panko breadcrumbs before air frying.
