  • Total Time: 25-30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour blend
  • 1/2 cup water or dairy-free milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted coconut oil
  • Optional: chopped parsley and blue cheese or ranch dressing for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. The batter should be thick but pourable.
  2. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it’s evenly coated, then place on a plate or baking sheet for air frying.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the coated cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  4. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  5. Meanwhile, whisk together buffalo hot sauce and olive oil in a small bowl to make the buffalo sauce.
  6. Once cauliflower is cooked, transfer to a large bowl, pour the buffalo sauce over, and toss gently to coat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and your preferred dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Ensure cauliflower florets are similar in size for even cooking.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to maintain crispiness.
  • Adjust spice levels by varying the hot sauce amount.
  • For added crunch, sprinkle panko breadcrumbs before air frying.
