- 12 ounces spaghetti or your favorite pasta
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add basil leaves, Parmesan, and olive oil, blending until smooth to make the pesto sauce.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine, then return the cooked pasta to the pot.
- Mix well to coat the pasta evenly with the pesto sauce, season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.
Notes
- Feel free to add cooked chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
- Adjust the cream for a thicker or thinner sauce as desired.
