- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and chopped onions until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Spread half of the mashed potatoes in the bottom of a lightly greased slow cooker.
- Layer cooked beef over mashed potatoes, then add remaining mashed potatoes on top.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until heated through and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can add sliced mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
- Use thicker mashed potatoes for better layering.
