Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4-6 hamburger buns
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into small, bite-sized pieces and cook in a skillet with olive oil until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper, simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, stirring to coat with the Alfredo sauce. Let simmer for 2 minutes to meld flavors.
- Spoon the chicken Alfredo mixture onto hamburger buns, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese and high-quality heavy cream.
- You can prepare the Alfredo sauce ahead and reheat before mixing with the chicken.
- Storing the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days is recommended. Reheat gently on the stovetop or microwave, adding a splash of milk or cream to restore creaminess.
