Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf or festive shape of your choice.
- Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with a little melted butter and sprinkle with festive sprinkles.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly.
- Sift powdered sugar over the top before serving for a snowy holiday effect.
