Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; cook until browned and cooked through.
- In a separate pot, cook orzo according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Mix crushed tomatoes with beef or vegetable broth; stir into the cooked beef and onions. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine the cooked orzo with the meat mixture. Transfer to a baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top. Garnish with fresh herbs.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
