Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla; beat until combined.

  7. Cut out pumpkin shapes with a cookie cutter or freehand using a knife.
  8. Place cookies on prepared baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  10. Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
  11. Fill a piping bag with melted milk chocolate and pipe faces onto the pumpkin cookies.
  12. Decorate with orange icing for the pumpkin’s face and green icing for stems.
  13. Let the decorations set before serving.
