Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas until smooth and set aside.
- Mix mashed bananas with melted butter, sugar, and vanilla until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, flour, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients into wet mixture, stirring gently just until combined.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.
Notes
- Add walnuts or chocolate chips for extra texture and flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread moist and tender.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze slices for up to 3 months.
