Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Mix mashed bananas and melted butter in a bowl.
- Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla; mix well.
- Sprinkle baking soda, salt, and add flour gradually, stirring until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- Top with banana slices and chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
