- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water
Instructions
- Place chicken in the slow cooker.
- Mix soy sauce, bourbon, honey, ketchup, garlic, and ginger in a bowl and pour over chicken.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until chicken is tender.
- Remove chicken and stir in cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce.
- Return chicken to the sauce and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken thighs with breasts for a leaner option.
- Serve over steamed rice or with vegetables for a complete meal.
