- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 8 minutes.
- Pour balsamic vinegar and honey into the skillet; stir well.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon glaze over the top, and simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes until chicken is cooked through and glazed.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
- You can add a splash of chicken broth for more sauce.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
