- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic until cooked through.
- Transfer beef mixture to the Crockpot, add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Add broken lasagna noodles during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Once noodles are tender, sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Cover and cook until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for beef for a lighter version.
- Use gluten-free noodles if needed.
