Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter, sugars, and vanilla until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
- Gradually add flour mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Take a heaping tablespoon of dough and shape into a heart using your hands or cookie cutters.
- Place shaped cookies on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
