Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, honey, and melted butter. Whisk until well incorporated. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle chopped nuts or chocolate chips on top before baking.
- Storage: Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
- For longer storage, freeze slices individually for easy thawing.
