- 1 (30 oz) bag frozen tater tots
- 1 lb ground beef or chicken
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: chopped green onions or bacon bits for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375F (190C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground meat and onions until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Mix cooked meat with cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly in the baking dish.
- Top with frozen tater tots in an even layer.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the tots.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and crispy on top.
- Garnish with chopped green onions or bacon bits if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or a splash of hot sauce.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked later.
