- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1/4 cup raspberry jam
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla, beating until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until Dough forms.
- Divide dough in half, flatten into discs, wrap in plastic, and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness.
- Cut out cookies with a round cutter and use a smaller cutter to make a heart or circle window in half of them.
- Place on lined baking sheets and bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool cookies completely. Spread Nutella on the bottom of the whole cookies, then sandwich with the cutout cookies. Fill the centers with raspberry jam.
Notes
- Chill the dough thoroughly for best results.
- Use high-quality Nutella for richer flavor.
- Decorate with powdered sugar or chopped nuts if desired.
