- 1 large head of green cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling water until soft, then let cool and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, chopped onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Place a spoonful of filling onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
- Arrange the rolls in a baking dish and pour tomato sauce over them.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45-50 minutes until cooked through and bubbly.
