- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of cinnamon sugar coating after baking.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
