- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Combine cooked pasta with the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh basil and additional Parmesan if desired. Serve hot.

- Adjust the cream for a richer or lighter sauce according to preference.
