- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 cup diced onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 (16-ounce) package gnocchi
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned. Remove sausage and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Return sausage to the pot, then stir in chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
- Add gnocchi and cook according to package instructions, about 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream, and simmer for another 5 minutes until heated through.
- Mix in shredded Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and extra cheese if desired.

- Use fresh or frozen gnocchi for best results.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or kale for extra nutrition.
- Adjust cream for a thicker or lighter broth.
