- 1 lb chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in spices and cook for another minute.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned.
- Pour in tomato sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Lower heat and stir in heavy cream, cook until heated through.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
Notes
- Adjust spice levels to taste by adding more chili powder for extra heat.
- You can substitute heavy cream with coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
