- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into chunks
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, salt, and pepper to create marinade.
- Marinate chicken in the mixture for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan; cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
- Add tomato sauce and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
- Stir in heavy cream, then return chicken to the pan.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until sauce thickens. Serve hot with rice or naan.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, grill the chicken before adding to the sauce.
- Adjust spice levels by increasing or decreasing garam masala and chili.
